Mediapps, a leader in the European enterprise information portal market, and Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), a global leader in application serving software and services, today announced a software licensing agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Mediapps can market, demonstrate and distribute Citrix® NFuseTM application portal software with its Net.Portal product for customers running applications on Citrix MetaFrame™. As a part of the agreement, Mediapps has joined the Citrix Business Alliance™ (CBA).

“Mediapps is facing increasing demand from large accounts and ASPs who wish to provide their users with the possibility of remotely launching and accessing centrally managed applications via an enterprise information portal,” said Laurent Binard, president of Mediapps. “As a worldwide leader in application serving and portal software, Citrix’s products were the logical choice for Mediapps to integrate and actively support.”

Citrix NFuse is an application portal product that provides organisations with the ability to integrate and publish interactive client/server Windows® and UNIX® applications to any Web portal instantly. Working in conjunction with Citrix'S MetaFrame software, Citrix NFuse provides organisations with greater manageability and lower costs through centralised deployment.

“Mediapps is a leader in the European market for enterprise information portals, a strong growth market where Citrix sees important demand for portal software and services,” said Barry Davis, vice president, Business Development for Citrix. “We will actively support this partnership, which represents an important business opportunity for Citrix in Europe.”
