Edenbrook Solutions adds J2EE, XML and MQ Series to core CRM competencies

Leading CRM (customer relationship management) services company Edenbrook Solutions, today announced it has acquired Futureproof - a UK-based consultancy specialising in enterprise middleware systems - for an undisclosed sum. Futureproof specialists will transfer to Edenbrook Solutions as part of the agreement.

Edenbrook delivers packaged consulting services to support and enhance CRM solutions supplied by market leaders Siebel Systems Inc. and Oracle. The Futureproof acquisition provides Edenbrook with leading-edge enterprise integration skills crucial for implementing successful CRM initiatives.

The acquisition extends Edenbrook’s core CRM and ERP (enterprise resource planning) competencies to include J2EE (Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition), IBM’s MQSeries messaging middleware and business integration platform and XML, which allows data interchange in heterogeneous application environments.

The integration skills will allow Edenbrook to deliver fast, cost-effective solutions for the increasing numbers of companies planning to integrate disparate ERP and CRM applications as part of their overall drive to create customer centric organisations.

Edenbrook marketing director David Kilpatrick said: “Despite the view that CRM applications will one day provide a holistic and unique view of every customer, most organisations have evolved using disparate IT applications. They are now recognising the critical need to integrate these applications if CRM initiatives are to be successful. Integration however is complex and it is difficult for many companies to develop the specialist skills required to integrate these disparate technologies. Our strategy is to help customers successfully meet these integration challenges.”

Futureproof’s technological competencies and sound project management approach offered a strategic fit for Edenbrook. Kilpatrick added: “Futureproof’s expertise has been in delivering leading-edge products for highly visible Internet solutions, managing projects from business idea through to design and fully operational production systems – delivering in Internet time, but keeping within budget requirements.”
