Using MetaFrame XP(tm), Citrix Extranet(tm) and Entrust Software, Customers
Can Access Enhanced-Security Applications From Any Location

31 July 2001 - Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), a leader in application
server and portal software solutions, and Entrust, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENTU), a
leading global provider of Internet security and managed services, today
announced interoperability of Citrix® MetaFrame XP(tm) and Citrix
Extranet(tm) software with recently released Entrust Entelligence(tm) 6.0
software and Entrust Authority(tm) 6.0 software. These enhanced security
products are now supported by and can be deployed in Citrix® MetaFrame®
environments, extending the reach of Entrust software to more desktops
through these Citrix solutions. By integrating with the Citrix MetaFrame XP
environment, Entrust and Citrix are extending the virtual workplace by
providing enhanced security for applications operating in server-based
computing architectures.

Citrix MetaFrame XP provides centralised management of applications on the
server enabling Entrust-secured applications to be rolled out quickly and
easily on a mass scale. In turn, MetaFrame XP and Citrix Extranet are
bolstered by the secure authentication Entrust provides through digital
signatures. Mutual customers of Entrust and Citrix can now gain secure
access to highly-sensitive documents located on the server by first
authenticating to Citrix Extranet, and then obtaining access to applications
using MetaFrame with a digital signature for secure authentication.

Entrust Authority 6.0 and Entrust Entelligence 6.0 feature enhanced
identification, verification, privacy and security management to provide a
transparent "electronic handshake" between the sender and receiver to ensure
online security and privacy for e-mails, files and documents.

"Our relationship with Citrix demonstrates the commitment of both companies
to securely deliver Internet applications with enhanced security that
includes identification, privacy, verification and security management,"
said Ian Curry, vice-president, product management and strategy, Entrust,
Inc. "With the Citrix server-based model, which eliminates the need to
install applications on local desktops, remote access users and IT personnel
will benefit from expedited deployment of enterprise desktop security."

"The interoperability with Entrust enables us to offer our mutual customers
an additional option for enhancing security of Web applications," said David
Weiss, vice president, marketing, for Citrix. "Organisations that require
multiple security levels to protect sensitive employee, corporate or
financial information over the Internet can rely on MetaFrame, Citrix
Extranet and Entrust to provide a secure environment."

Customers with elevated security priorities, such as those in finance and
government, have expressed the need for Entrust Entelligence to interoperate
with Citrix. Citrix MetaFrame provides faster and easier deployment of
Entrust security solutions because IT managers deploy them through the
MetaFrame server. There is no need for IT managers to download client
applications on the desktop since applications are installed, processed,
administered and deployed on the server, thus enabling a quicker return on
investment. Using Citrix Independent Computing Architecture (ICA®)
technology, keystrokes and mouse clicks on the desktop are processed at the
server. This makes applications very easy to control and operate in a
secure manner.

"Having Entrust Entelligence* 6.0 interoperate with Citrix makes deployment
of enhanced security easier and faster," said Gabe Long, Perot Systems.
"This integration is welcome news for customers."
Enhanced security enables users to have the confidence to conduct higher
value transactions and deliver more sensitive information over the Internet
with today's new Internet applications such as tax filing, government
procurement, medical information submission, payroll expenses and other
business processes. The risks of not implementing enhanced Internet
security can range from dispute or repudiation of transactions, breach of
privacy of sensitive customer or enterprise information, to access of
protected resources by unauthorised individuals. The implications of these
breaches may be dramatic, ranging from direct financial loss and legal
implications due to non-compliance with regulations to a loss of trust and
brand equity as security breaches become public.

"Server-based computing and PKI are very complementary," said Mark Bouchard,
analyst with META Group, Inc. "The former provides flexible access to
applications from diverse computing devices while the latter delivers
comprehensive services to secure that access. Both pieces are essential
given the continued trend toward mobilisation of company workforces."
