Chordiant selected as the global CRM supplier for 3G mobile operator
Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) license for the largest block of spectrum in the UK, today announced that it has selected Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRD), a leader in Unifying Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Solutions, as its strategic CRM supplier for multi-media customer interaction management. Chordiant will handle service requests for Hutchison 3G subscribers and provide operational CRM capability across multiple channels, helping to deliver an unrivalled customer experience, aimed towards maximising customer satisfaction and retention.
The system will initially be developed in the UK and later made available in every country where Hutchison Whampoa has 3G interests. "Hutchison 3G is extremely diligent in its efforts to provide an unrivalled customer experience for mobile users and maximise return per subscriber," said Sam Spadafora, Chordiant Chairman and CEO. "Our track record with Global 1000 telecommunications companies means that our solutions are designed with those aims in mind and we are confident that we can help Hutchison 3G to differentiate its brand with customers as it enters the market next year."

Hutchison 3G UK Ltd. ("Hutchison 3G") holds licence 'A' (a third-generation mobile licence), which was issued by the UK government in May 2000.
