-Web-based Solution Enables Customers to Realise Maximum Return on Their Investments-

Artemis International Corporation (OTCBB: OPUS), a subsidiary of Finland-based Proha PLC and a leading provider of enterprise-wide project and resource collaboration solutions, launched its new PortfolioDirector™, a Web-based, enterprise-level software solution designed to improve executives’ ability to focus on strategically relevant projects and resource capacity throughout the enterprise by providing a process that helps make well-reasoned management decisions. PortfolioDirector gives Global 2000 companies a means to improve financial performance by reducing investment risks and cost overruns.

"IT initiatives and other programs are now being looked at in light of a company’s overall portfolio, just as any other type of investment. Common sense dictates that choosing the appropriate programs — and avoiding the inappropriate ones — is critical for maximum return on investment," said Rob Legge, VP of UK Operations, Artemis International Corporation Ltd. "PortfolioDirector allows executives to analyse their program portfolio and make better decisions faster. The ability to accelerate or cancel projects due to market changes or before costly overruns occur can make a huge difference to a company’s financial performance."

PortfolioDirector - fully Web-enabled - provides companies with a tool for managing and reviewing strategic initiatives throughout the enterprise. The software allows companies to choose the programs that are most valuable in achieving corporate objectives, enhance communication and collaboration among disparate executive disciplines and business unit leaders, adjust the project pipeline based on changing corporate strategy, and illuminate the programs that are sapping needed resources.

Portfolio management techniques allow more organisational direction in terms of the management and prioritisation of strategically important investments. They ensure that the company’s available budget and resources are employed to achieve the maximum return while aligning with the organisation’s business goals.

Artemis’ PortfolioDirector™ is a scalable, Web-based solution that allows executives to:

- Optimise the prioritisation of new investments against existing portfolios

- Improve the success rate of those investments by ensuring that the levels of investment remain within the capacity of the organisation

- Improve the visibility and ownership of each investment by its sponsors throughout the organisation

- Communicate and manage the risk associated with those investments to optimise performance

- Provide analysis which helps the business determine whether it is getting the best return on those investments

- Increase the speed and accuracy of the decision process, thereby ensuring a higher degree of reaction to economic change

- Report consistent, complete and reliable information against a consistent business execution methodology

- Maintain a consistent, central repository for all relevant information

Early Adopter Program

Artemis is launching a PortfolioDirector Early Adopters Program. Intended to reward early participants, companies participating in the program will receive a wider range of on-site professional consulting services and additional Artemis discounts. The complementary services accompanying the deployment of PortfolioDirector are designed to accelerate the benefit realisation process. Clients will be supported with ongoing service and support, and have the opportunity to participate at the forefront of a new technology deployment that many analysts believe is transforming the way businesses are managed. Interested companies can enrol in the Early Adopters Program from August 15th-December 31st, 2001.
