Harrier Group Increase Turnover by 110% Thursday 30 August 2001 PDF Print Harrier Group announce interim results Reading, Berks – 30th August 2001, Harrier Group plc (AIM: HRR), a leading provider of managed security and continuity solutions, announced today that during the six months to 30th June 2001 its turnover has increased 110% from the same period last year to £10.21 million, giving rise to a profit before tax and goodwill of £78,723. “This result, reflects Harrier’s commitment to providing innovative security solutions that enable organisations to take advantage of the electronic age,” comments David Cheesman, CEO of Harrier Group. “Harrier is in a good position to build on the trust we have established with our current clients, and has a strong prospect list for future business.” The first half of this year has proved to be highly productive for Harrier. During this period the Company won a contract to deliver the largest project in the Group’s history, providing the design, technology and supporting consultancy services for a major network infrastructure installation for a global corporate client. Whilst most technology organisations were reducing staff, Harrier, in contrast, increased staffing levels and now has a total of 89 staff and is continuing to recruit revenue earning employees to support its growing Professional and Managed Services teams. Harrier also opened an office in Leeds in March 2001, to support its customers in the North and to enable the Group to extend its regional bespoke and accredited training requirements. Training proved to be another source of strong growth, with Harrier seeing an increase in both the demand for and revenue from all its activities in this area.
