WIN JOIN THE A-LIST WITH THE LAUNCH OF CELEBRITY VOICEMAIL Thursday 30 August 2001 PDF Print WIN expand its wireless marketing portfolio with Celebrity Voicemail - the latest mobile craze that's set to rival the ring tone www.winplc.com Wireless Information Network Ltd (WIN), the UK's biggest supplier of wireless marketing services, today announces the launch of Celebrity Voicemail. Celebrity Voicemail is the next big thing in mobile phone personalisation and just one of many white label solutions offered by WIN Plc as part of a complete wireless marketing platform. The new service allows users to download an impersonated, pre-recorded message from their favourite celebrity. The service features messages from impersonators of Tony Blair, Hannibal Lecter, Ali G and a whole host of well-known characters. In order to access the service, mobile phone users simply ring an IVR number and browse a selection of quality voicemail messages. The user then makes a selection and enters their voicemail PIN code as a security precaution. The calls are charged at £1 per minute and last approximately 3.5 minutes. The voice message is then sent directly to the users phone, replacing their existing message. In line with WIN's existing range of wireless solutions, Celebrity Voicemail will be available to existing corporate clients and has been designed to enable media owners, telcos and brand facilitators to both add an additional facet to their existing product offering and to provide a way of generating an additional revenue stream. As part of its commitment to retaining its position as the fastest, most reliable developer of wireless applications in the industry, WIN Plc has chosen Mobilephonia in partnership with Grapevine Telecom to provide the service. Katie Hollier, marketing manager at WIN Plc, said: "We are delighted to be able to expand our current portfolio with the launch of this new quality service. Celebrity Voicemail is a fun and innovative way in which to personalise a mobile phone, WIN believes that it is the perfect addition to any organisation's wireless campaign as it is simple to set up, available on all handsets and across all networks. We anticipate that consumer take up for this service will be phenomenal." - ends - All press enquiries: Midnight Communications (Business and trade media enquiries) Kirstie Young / Antony Mayfield Tel: 01273 666200 Email: WIN@midnight.co.uk Wireless Information Network (All other enquiries) Katie Hollier Tel: 01494 750 500 Notes to Editors About WIN Plc WIN, a private limited company, was founded in 1989.
