UK-Based NETconnection Systems Becomes First Secure HarbourTM Certified Partner

NEWBURY, ENGLAND – Enterasys Networks, a leader in secure, available and mobile enterprise communications solutions, today announced that NETconnection Systems, one of its UK-based Systems Integrators, has become its first European Secure HarbourTM certified partner. The Enterasys certification, recently implemented as part of its new partner programme, provides in-depth security training, assessment and accreditation. The programme also ensures a value-add differentiator for channel partners and critical end-user assurance that certified partners meet the highest standards for security.

“Attaining Enterasys’ Secure Harbour Solution certification provides us with a high-level of credibility with our customers. When we talk to them about security, they are aware that we understand the issues and the solutions required to protect and support their organisation from e-security threats,” commented Courtney Green, Managing Director, NETconnection Systems. “Enterasys is known for its high standard of training and the majority of our sales and technical staff are fully trained and certified on the Enterasys solution portfolio. Adding security certification as a next step is already proving an invaluable tool.”

Enterasys’ security certification is built around the principles of its Secure Harbour architecture, the industry’s first holistic approach to information security designed to protect companies from the threat both inside and out of their physical boundaries. The training encompasses the full range of Enterasys’ security portfolio, including its Aurorean VPN suite, its Dragon Intrusion Detection Solution (IDS), its Netsight switch manager, its Internet firewall range and unique security functionality inherent within its X-Pedition switch/routers and Matrix line of multi-layer switches.

Enterasys’ Secure Harbour Solution certification programme enables partners to earn an Enterasys Security Specialist (ESS) or an Enterasys Security Specialist Engineer (ESSE) designation in Secure Harbour. The security certification is an integral component of a complete certification track offered by Enterasys.
