Eyretel’s on the Ascent Monday 10 September 2001 PDF Print Scaling the dizzy heights is not just a metaphor for this year’s business performance by Eyretel, a leading developer and supplier of recording, monitoring, and analysis solutions for contact centres, it will be a reality for Eyretel employees who’ve volunteered to climb the UK’s three highest mountains in a bid to raise thousands of pounds for charity. On 15 September two teams; one from sales and marketing and one from development, will be are taking part in this year’s Three Peaks Challenge, organised by national charity Children’s Aid Direct and sponsored by Cable & Wireless. The teams will be put through their paces as they race against the clock to reach the top of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours. In between ascents, the team will be transported between mountains and watered, fed and given moral support and encouragement from Eyretel colleagues. Nick McLean, Marketing Director, EMEA and a competitor says, “We’ve spent time improving our fitness levels in preparation for the event in recent months and I’m pleased to say that we are all fully fit and raring to face the challenge ahead of us. It’s been great to see the team-spirit that’s evolved as we’ve prepared for this. We’re not only keen to raise a healthy sum of money for charitable children’s projects at home and abroad, we’re also celebrating the 10th anniversary and the success of Eyretel’s business to date. I’d like to congratulate my colleagues for their staying power and thank the Eyretel clients and friends and family of Eyretel employees that have so willingly offered to sponsor our efforts”. -ends- Editors Notes: About Children’s Aid Direct Children's Aid Direct is committed to working with children and their communities throughout the world to help support them as they move from crisis to recovery.
