Group sales of software vendor MATERNA Information & Communications amounted to 89.9 million Euros (175.8 million DM) in the first half of fiscal 2001. This is 16 percent more than the figure for the same period last year and a solid foundation for Q3 and Q4. Q4 is traditionally the strongest in terms of sales. "In view of the current market situation we are very satisfied with our sales results. The Communications business unit accounts for 49 percent of sales, with the Information business unit contributing another 46 percent and subsidiaries a further five percent. Foreign activities account for almost six percent of Group sales. The Communications business unit's internationalization strategy resulted in significant sales successes and new customers abroad.
