D-Link’s consumer product range targets exploding home-user market with help of leading distributor

Networking vendor D-Link, has announced the UK launch of its consumer NetEasy range and the creation of a structured channel for the products by signing Ingram Micro UK as exclusive distributor.

Ingram Micro UK was chosen because of its strong relationships and knowledge of the retail market which will allow D-Link a route to access the burgeoning home-user market with NetEasy.

The NetEasy range, which incorporates over twenty products, is a user-friendly networking, connectivity and multimedia range of products. It includes the already successfully released DSC-350 Digital Camera, DRU-R100 USB Radio, as well as USB hubs, switches, NIC cards and multimedia products. D-Link will support the range through a dedicated technical support team and website.

“Our NetEasy range of products has been specifically designed with the consumer in mind - not only price, style and functionality but also accessibility,” said Dion Luyk, General Manager, UK, Eire and Benelux, D-Link (Europe). ”These products will be marketed solely by Ingram Micro UK through channels such as retail stores, off the page catalogues and e-commerce sites.“

"This agreement represents an exciting new dimension to our developing relationship with D-Link and underlines our determination to offer Ingram Micro UK customers an unrivalled choice in networking products, “ said Mairead McGloin, Head of Category, Networking, Storage and Components, Ingram Micro UK. “ The agreement compliments our existing networking portfolio perfectly and D-Link will benefit from the scope of our customer base and our heavy focus on identifying new market opportunities within the retail sector."

The official launch of the NetEasy range represents now a clear differentiation between D-Link’s consumer and business-to-business target markets and as such NetEasy will have its own website at This demonstrates to the channel D-Link’s two distinct product ranges and underlines its role as an increasingly major force in the networking sector.
