...New testing tool will boost revenues and lower development costs for content developers and wireless portals by assuring content works properly on all supported devices

Argogroup, the leading supplier of device intelligence for the multi-channel Internet, today announced the launch of Ubiquinox Monitor Master. Monitor Master is a comprehensive testing and monitoring product that dramatically accelerates the deployment of quality content for multi-channel Internet devices.

Multi-channel Internet applications must communicate properly with a wide range of PC's, PDA's, phones, TV's and other devices to be effective, yet the number and diversity of these devices present major challenges to content quality assurance. Monitor Master is a testing and monitoring tool that draws upon the world's largest database of device profiles to assess how well specific content sites will be delivered to the whole range of Internet connected-devices. Monitor Master allows content producers - media companies, enterprises, wireless portals and systems integrators - to reduce development time whilst assuring the ongoing quality of the content on the consumers selected device. As a result, customers get useful applications that delight them and the content producer captures customers and boosts revenues.

David Frodsham, CEO, Argogroup, said, "Consumer dissatisfaction with the multi-channel Internet is being caused by basic errors in the content creation process. For example, the "State of the Wireless Internet Report "released this summer showed that 92% of sites were not fully usable across all devices and only a slim majority - 52% - conformed to even the basic WML standards. Monitor Master assists in the identification and elimination of these mistakes early in the development stage, speeding delivery of more compelling content to provide more satisfied customers and, ultimately, increased revenue for all involved."

Monitor Master addresses the challenges associated with developing, testing, and quality assurance in an age of ever-increasing device diversity. Monitor Master has been built with 18-months of in-lab application test experience: it uses the world's most comprehensive device knowledge to test content against a wide range of devices and report on compliance, interoperability and usability problems found. The Monitor Master software is capable of multiple device simulation, auto-browsing intelligence, scripting and pre-defined test sequences and has a GUI for set-up, monitoring and reporting.

Frodsham continued, "In the fast moving wireless industry, it is not enough to test an application once and then forget about it. Monitor Master will monitor applications on an ongoing basis to ensure optimal performance on every new and legacy device."

Monitor Master provide three kinds of application testing, either at the development stage or in live deployment as a monitoring tool:

~Device Interoperability Testing -application and content testing against a wide range of Internet devices, including future devices as they are added to the UbiquinoX Profile Database. Monitor Master highlights cosmetic, navigational and functional issues that affect the end-user experience.

~Compliance Testing - Analysing wireless services for compliance with the relevant standards such as WML, XML and HTTP, and reporting code faults line by line.

~Usability Testing - Rating wireless applications according to the Openwave usability guidelines.
