The server is ideal for fast, low-cost deployment of fully integrated applications – delivering not only cost savings, but also rapid “time-to-benefit” for firms making selective technology investments under tightened IT budgets. “In an increasingly complex, Internet-driven economy, mid-sized customers need simple, affordable solutions,” said Kim Stevenson, IBM vice president of eServer iSeries marketing operations. “With the IBM eServer for J.D. Edwards includes support for Linux, Java and HTML, and shares the same technology that helped IBM establish world record Java performance of more than 6,000 concurrent users running J.D. Edwards OneWorld Xe applications. Current WorldSoftware customers can take advantage of the new e-business extensions offered by J.D. Edwards for WorldSoftware or use the new server to co-exist with OneWorld as business needs dictate. “Customers are looking to manage and reduce complexity in their e-business initiatives and get a quicker time-to-benefit,” said Les Wyatt, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, J.D.
