Software Meets SunTone Programme's Availability, Reliability and Performance
Standards


24 September 2001 - Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), a leader in
application server and portal software solutions, announced today that its
Citrix® MetaFrame® for the SolarisTM Operating Environment V1.1 application
has achieved certification under the SunToneSM Certification and Branding
Programme. Citrix MetaFrame for the Solaris Operating Environment
significantly enhances the performance, usability and management
capabilities of a company's application serving solutions running on UNIX®
technology-based systems.


The SunTone programme, led by Sun Microsystems, Inc., is a collaborative
industry effort to define best practices and audit solution provider
infrastructure, operational practices, hardware, software, and overall
service delivery. SunTone certification provides a quality "seal of
approval," confirming that Citrix MetaFrame for the Solaris Operating
Environment meets stringent scalability, availability, reliability and
performance standards necessary for deployment of high quality web-based
services. Customers can be confident that Citrix MetaFrame for the Solaris
Operating Environment has met the programme's high quality standards.


Citrix MetaFrame extends the functionality of the Solaris Operating
Environment by providing key benefits including centralised, server-based
