1 October 2001 - Marimba, a leading provider of systems management solutions
built for e-business, today announced that Leisure Link, the world's largest
pay to play amusement machine company, is using its Desktop/Mobile
Management products to provide dynamic content to 2000 gaming machines
across the UK.

Leisure Link has launched 'itbox,' an advanced digital entertainment system
that combines the latest quiz and gambling games with a range of innovative
content including short films, digital music, and web fulfilled e-commerce
applications. The company is using Marimba's Desktop/Mobile Management
products to dynamically deliver and update this content to the machines on a
daily, weekly and monthly basis.

"It is increasingly important to provide regular fresh content to the
consumer, and previously the only way to do this was to physically remove
and replace machines when they became outdated," commented Duncan Gray,
group technology director, Leisure Link. "Marimba, however, allows itbox to
be automatically updated with a wide range of new content at any time,
saving time and money but, more importantly, delivering better variety and
selection and therefore value to our customers."

Marimba's technology enables the efficient transfer of data from the
company's data centres to each machine via ISDN dial-up connections and ADSL
on-line connections. The automated process removes the need for onsite
maintenance and ensures that quiz games have the latest questions, daily
information is accurate and the freshest content is always available.

"Marimba is delighted to help Leisure Link deliver innovative gaming and
entertainment machines to the millions who enjoy their machines in the UK,"
added Adrian Rayner, vice president EMEA for Marimba. "Our Desktop/Mobile
Management solution has proved the perfect method for updating and
maintaining a wide range of applications and information and will easily
scale to support the full roll-out of some 14,000 machines."
