Lotus specialists add the only Lotus-endorsed pure Notes fax solution to its portfolio
Shardlow, UK – October 10, 2001 – Esker Software today announced its alliance with Conexus, one of Europe’s most highly regarded IBM/Lotus Premier Partners. Conexus will add Esker’s VSI-Fax for Notes to its portfolio of solutions. VSI-Fax for Notes, an enterprise-wide fax solution combining proven fax technology with pure Notes administration, was recently endorsed by Lotus corporation.
In January 2001, in conjunction with the discontinuation of their Fax for Domino product, Lotus selected VSI-Fax for Notes as the preferred fax solution for Notes environments. “Lotus’ decision provided us with a real opportunity for growth,” says Bashrat Din, Managing Director of EMEA for Esker Software. “Our agreement with Conexus reflects our overall channel strategy of seeking alliances with highly respected solution providers possessing strong and loyal customer bases and solid histories of achievement in the Lotus marketplace. Without a doubt Conexus, with their renowned expertise in the Lotus document management arena and reputation for high levels of customer service, met and exceeded all our requirements.”
Conexus, who currently offer document management and workflow solutions for the Domino environment, were looking for a Lotus-endorsed document delivery solution that fit neatly into their product and services mix. After looking over the other products available, including Captaris’ RightFax Gateway for Lotus Notes, Conexus opted for VSI-Fax for Notes. “We regard the VSI-Fax product as the best Lotus Notes Fax product available today,” says Simon Capel, Product Solutions Manager for Conexus. “Because VSI-Fax for Notes is implemented entirely within the Notes/Domino environment versus using an email gateway, it simplifies administration, ensures document security, maximises server availability and takes full advantage the Notes environment. Quite simply, VSI-Fax for Notes fulfils our commitment to our customers to provide best-of-breed solutions that deliver maximum competitive advantage.”
About VSI-Fax for Notes
Designed specifically with both Notes users and administrators in mind, VSI-Fax for Notes uses Notes databases to manage faxing features such as load balancing, least cost routing, email integration, and automatic inbound routing. To a user, sending a fax from Notes is the same as sending any email message.
The seamless integration of Notes and VSI-Fax allows administrators to manage all of their fax servers from the desktop. Fax sending, receiving, status, logging, hardware configuration, and even user preferences are all managed through Notes databases.
In addition, VSI-Fax for Notes can serve as the core fax server for fax requirements throughout the enterprise. Faxes from Mainframe, AS/400, Unix, NT, Web and other email applications can all be sent and reported on through VSI-Fax for Notes.
