- Technology Takes Text Message Bandwidth From 400 per hour to 3000 per

In a deal which will take wireless marketing campaigns into new territory,
Wireless Information Network (WIN) today announced that it has signed a deal
with Swedish developers Maingate to use their real-time SMS inbound
solution. WIN is the first company in the UK to roll out the technology
which will significantly enhance the solutions available in mobile

400 messages per hour whilst WIN's solution through Maingate will allow
receipt of up to 3,000 messages per minute. This will allow applications
such as voting and competitions to take place in real time. Real time

Peter Norman, Commerical Director, WIN, said: "People expect SMS
communication to be instantaneous but when hundreds of thousands of text
messages hit a system at once a backlog can quickly build up. The more

with Maingate sweeps all of these concerns aside and allows our clients to
realize the full potential of text messaging as a marketing medium."
