President of Customer Services

19 October 2001 - Marimba, Inc. (Nasdaq: MRBA), a leading provider of
systems management solutions built for e-business, today announced the
appointment of two vice presidents as a part of its executive management

Kia Behnia, formerly vice president of product management, was named vice

CEO. Mr. Behnia will be reporting directly to Mr. Wyckoff. Craig Parks,
formerly vice president of strategic initiatives, was appointed vice
president of customer services, also reporting to Mr. Wyckoff.

"With the appointment of Kia and Craig to these new positions, we continue
to build a strong executive team," said Wyckoff. "Kia has deep industry and
product knowledge that will help Marimba further refine its product strategy
and marketing programmes. Craig will bring together all of Marimba's
technical customer-facing activities in the company under one umbrella,
which should allow us to be more productive and ultimately provide even
better customer service. I am pleased to announce their new roles, and look
forward to their contributions to Marimba's success."
