It allows passengers to search by cheapest fare or quickest route for journeys across the UK, using data from the new Rail Journey Information System (JIS). Qjump.co.uk encompasses a fully integrated Ticket Information System developed by Syntegra for National Express Group. The WebTIS system ensures a fast and efficient online service, processing travellers journey planning enquires and orders in real-time. The software and hardware is hosted from a secure BT datacentre and, in addition to Qjump, currently empowers the online ticket information and purchasing systems for all nine National Express Group train operating companies and some other leading train operating companies, each viewed by the passenger with the appropriate company’s front end branding. National Express Group worked closely with Detica to develop a retail strategy, which includes web information and ticketing strategy, including Qjump. Over the past two years, Detica has taken the concept from initial specification and competitive tender to full implementation and is responsible for the technical programme management of the project. The brand design is instantly recognisable across different media platforms and helps to communicate the broad appeal of Qjump to commuters, business and leisure travellers alike.
