SLOUGH (25 October, 2001) — Progress Software has announced that it has selected 7GLOBAL as a preferred
Managed Hosting Partner in the UK under its ASPenSM (Application Service Provider Enablement) Program.
Following the acquisition of managed hosting services provider Allegrix in the USA in June this year, the move
marks a strengthening of Progress’s commitment to helping its Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) develop the
widest range of delivery options for their applications.

to act as a single source for ASP services to simplify commercial arrangements.
Progress will share its Application Center™ technology, available under the ASPen Program, with its ISVs and
7Global. Application Center™, developed by ASPen Managed Services, avoids the high cost of emulation products
such as Citrix, to provide a thin client Windows interface in a browser to achieve high performance levels of
remotely deployed applications.
