Lloyds Registrar involved in selection process

Reading, Berks - 30th October 200 , HarrierZeuros, a division of Harrier
Group plc (AIM: HRR), announced today that it has been instrumental in
advising ViaCode, the digital security subsidiary of Royal Mail, in its
successful bid to become the first Trusted Service Provider (TSP) to achieve
tScheme Registered Applicant status. This status will enable ViaCode to
provide its' clients with the reassurance of ViaCode's intention to be
certified against the high standard set out by tScheme, an industry led,
self-regulatory scheme that works closely with Her Majesty's Government to
approve electronic TSPs and their services.

Underpinned by Royal Mail and its 350 year old reputation for the safe
delivery of information, ViaCode provides fully managed digital certificate
solutions to many of the UK's public and private sectors. HarrierZeuros
carried out a comprehensive review of information security management
provision within ViaCode, performing a risk assessment and gap analysis
against the British Standard for Information Security - BS7799. Following
this work, HarrierZeuros assisted ViaCode in enhancing documentation, where
necessary, to align their Information Security Management System (ISMS) more
closely with the tScheme Approval Profiles to prepare for Certification.

"After consultation with our advisors at Lloyds Registrar we chose
HarrierZeuros to assist us in this critical project because of the
commitment to detail that they showed during the selection process,"
commented Kevin Darley, Head of Information Security at ViaCode. "Throughout
the project we have benefited greatly from HarrierZeuros' extensive
knowledge and understanding of security policies and their implementation,
which has prepared us for the tScheme Certification that we see as being
fundamental to our future plans."

David Cheesman, CEO of HarrierZeuros said, "As security awareness increases
more and more organisations are looking at e-Assurance services to prove to
trading partners that their systems and operations are secured to an
acceptable level. We are pleased that ViaCode has achieved tScheme
Registered Applicant status and we look forward to assisting them in
achieving Certification in the very near future."
