myTravelco Credit Card Signs Up For Back Of Plane Seat Advertising

London, October 30th: Transad International plc (Transad), the back of airline seat advertising company featured on Channel 4's 'Real Deal' television programme, has announced the signing of an advertising campaign with myTravelco financial services, who offer a credit card that lets users earn points as they spend which can be redeemed against future holiday bookings.

“This is a significant announcement for the company” said Transad’s Chairman James Driscoll MBE “Whilst the obvious appeal and benefits of back of plane seat advertising have never been in doubt, the deal with myTravelco demonstrates the appeal of this form of advertising to consumer focussed organisations”.

Unlike more traditional forms of advertising such as billboard and broadcast, the Transad approach can literally sit a specific 'type' of customer in front of a specific advert - in myTravelco's case, holiday travellers- and according to Driscoll, it is this ability to better match 'product to person' that makes Transad's proposition so viable.

Managing Director of Transad Samantha Bhalla - recently featured in Management Today's top 35 under 35 UK businesswomen study - was equally enthusiastic about the announcement. “I am very happy to have signed this agreement. The series of three advertisements take a household object - such as an ironing board - and turn it into a holiday themed item (the ironing board becomes a surf board). This illustrates the card's main selling point that spending on even the most mundane of purchases can help you save money against your next holiday.”

About Transad International
Transad International Plc has developed a tamperproof advertising frame which is fitted to the backs of airline seats. The advertising medium is a new concept, which offers an alternative to advertisers who have been restricted to advertising in in-flight magazines or audio entertainment until this opportunity. Ryanair, KLM (UK), Buzz and Airtours already have the Company's frames in place, which provides advertising space on more than 8,100 seats. The advertising frame has an effective patent that excludes competition from duplicating the product. Currently the Company is focused on short-haul flights in the UK-based airline market. Marketing in Europe, USA and globally will be addressed in due course. The Company was incorporated in 1997 and floated on OFEX January 2001.
