The European Union provides partial funding for groups of European
organisations undertaking collaborative research and development on certain
key technologies. This half-day briefing on the current programme (the
Fifth Framework Programme or FP5) is particularly relevant to those
considering applying for funding under FP5 Key Action 2, "New methods of
work and Electronic Commerce". The next call for proposals in this area
opens on 15th November 2001 and closes on 19th February 2002.

The briefing is hosted by Object Management Group at its technical meeting
in Dublin, Ireland; non-OMG members are welcome to attend. This is a useful
opportunity to find out about FP5, and to find partner organisations for
collaborative projects.

Speakers will include:

Joël Bacquet, European Commission
IST eWorkeBusiness & Call 8

Arne Berre, Chief Scientist, SINTEF
