“Effervescent Scot”*, Jim G. Adamson CBE, Joins Top Management Team At Home Entertainment Software Company


Home Media Networks Ltd, developer of PC software that allows the user to watch, record and pause TV, play DVD videos and listen to MP3 music files through one interface, today announced that it has appointed Jim G. Adamson CBE as Non-Executive Chairman.

Adamson has an exceptionally high calibre history in the IT industry, having gained the reputation as
being the man who turned around the fortunes of NCR Financial Systems Ltd in the eighties as its Vice Chairman. Adamson has also achieved valuable experience working for such global giants as AT&T, Honeywell, ITT and GEC.



Gaining his CBE in 1997, Adamson also holds an honorary doctorate at Heriot-Watt University, Dundee University and Abertay University. A former member of the Scottish Enterprise Board and the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council, he has also served as a non-executive Director of the East and Services Board of the Bank of Scotland, and is a former member of the Scottish Economic Development Council. Adamson is currently Board President of the Fife Society for the Blind.
