Virtual Truck Installer Accelerates the Industry’s Ability To Automatically Fulfill Multiple ISPs

November 6th, 2001 – BroadJump, Inc., provider of software solutions for the efficient and rapid deployment of broadband services, today announced that Time Warner Cable is utilising BroadJump’s Virtual Truck® Installer to enable the choice of multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Time Warner Cable’s use of BroadJump’s Virtual Truck Installer enables seamless offering and fulfillment of a variety of ISPs for Time Warner and its customers. The deal marks another expansion of the partnership between BroadJump and Time Warner Cable dating back to July 1999.

“The ability to offer consumers a choice of ISPs has become increasingly important. By using BroadJump’s solutions, Time Warner can quickly address these challenges and stay ahead of the competition,” said industry analyst Keith Kennebeck of The Strategis Group.

Time Warner Cable selected Virtual Truck Installer after its successful performance in the service provider’s multiple ISP trials. By automating the installation process in a multiple ISP environment, BroadJump’s Virtual Truck Installer eliminates the need for a technician to manually perform installation tasks of broadband service in a multiple ISP environment. This creates a more seamless experience for the consumer and reduces the need for a technician to visit the consumer’s residence.

“Time Warner Cable continues to offer our customers a choice and the deployment of Virtual Truck Installer demonstrates this commitment,” said Bo Coughlin, vice president of corporate development, Time Warner Cable. “Our continued investment in BroadJump’s solutions is a direct result of the consistent return on investment they provide. In addition, BroadJump continues to demonstrate the ability to anticipate and deliver solutions that consistently exceed our needs, enabling Time Warner Cable to maintain a competitive market position.”

BroadJump’s solutions have solved Time Warner Cable’s high-speed deployment challenges for over two years. Through a variety of fulfillment models including self-installation, retail and now multiple ISP selection, Time Warner Cable has been able to utilise Virtual Truck Installer to speed deployment while reducing costs. As the industry’s leading broadband fulfillment solution, BroadJump’s Virtual Truck Installer ensures a consistent and positive broadband experience from initial installation to ongoing service fulfillment.

“BroadJump is proud to expand our relationship with Time Warner as they lead the industry with the first full deployment of multiple ISP selection capabilities,” said Kenny Van Zant, chief operating officer of BroadJump. “BroadJump’s solutions have been created to solve a wide-range of broadband fulfillment issues including multiple ISP selection and ISP migration. These issues represent new challenges for the industry and present opportunities for service providers like Time Warner to capitalise through our technological advances.”
