wish to control their order processing, but prefer to leave the site
maintenance with the designer. Release will be early December.

respectively, while Actinic Developer will retail at £1250 and Actinic
Order Manager for £149. All + VAT. Upgrade prices are available on request.

See for details.

"Over the summer we've done extensive research into the ecommerce
requirements and plans of business owners and web professionals. The
results have identified two core Actinic customer types: the 'DIYer', who
develops and maintains the store for themselves, and the web designer who
develops and deploys online stores on behalf of their clients," comments
Nick Kington, marketing director of Actinic. "We saw a clear need to extend
and evolve our product range and introduce a development tool for
commercial designers who create and deploy multiple sites as part of their
core business. This will enable us to focus on adding web designer
functionality to Actinic Developer and further develop our out-of-the-box
applications, Actinic Catalog, Actinic Business and Actinic Order Manager. "

Chris Lamle of ImageByte E-commerce Solutions, an Actinic partner remarks,
"As a web designer I immediately noticed the extra flexibility in the
design aspects of version 5 including the introduction of a more WYSIWYG
approach. It is now so easy to develop customised page layouts and there's
no question that it will save me a lot of time and effort."
