Leading Electronic Licensing Technology to be integrated into Micromuse's Netcool® Software Products

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (BUSINESS or BUSINESS WIRE)-November 21, 2001-Macrovision Corporation (NASDAQ: MVSN), a world leader in Digital Rights Management technologies, announced today that its GLOBEtrotter Software Division has signed a worldwide license agreement with Micromuse (NASDAQ:MUSE), which enables Micromuse to incorporate FLEXlm® into all of its products on a worldwide basis. FLEXlm is GLOBEtrotter's core Electronic License Management product. Micromuse is the leading provider of real-time fault management and service assurance software.

Micromuse provides mission-critical software solutions to nearly 1,300 clients worldwide. This requires that Micromuse is able to provide its client base with a reliable and robust range of services and software. Micromuse's flagship Netcool/OMNIbus(tm) application helps service providers and enterprises worldwide ensure the uptime of network-based customer services and applications.
