London, 29 October 2001 – Intec Telecom Systems PLC, a leading global vendor of telecoms Operations Support Systems, has won a substantial contract with Vodafone UK. Intec will provide Vodafone UK with its InterconnecT billing technology, replacing an in-house solution.
Vodafone UK chose InterconnecT from Intec after a detailed evaluation of all major market offerings, citing the reliability, functionality and scalability of the world’s most successful intercarrier billing solution as key criteria. Vodafone UK also evaluated company finances, support capability and quality processes in its selection of InterconnecT. Vodafone UK will also use Intec’s InterconnecT PREP mediation technology as a front end to the billing system.
