Customer management and support company iDesk pIc today announced the appointment of Jeremy Jackson as chief executive officer. The expansion of iDesk’s management team comes at a crucial time when the company is experiencing significant growth and broadening its technology and service offerings. This announcement follows soon after the successful launch of iDesk’s London-based Call Centre Hotel in August this year.
As well as managing day-to-day operations, Jackson will be responsible for shaping and growing iDesk’s already buoyant software division and spearheading new initiatives. Jackson takes over from Steve Berry, who will assume the position of vice chairman. In this capacity, Berry will focus on the strategic direction of the company including iDesk’s managed services, corporate financing for further growth, mergers and acquisitions.
Jeremy Jackson brings to iDesk considerable experience in sales, marketing and international channel development, as well as a strong background in growing successful IT companies. Jackson was most recently senior vice president and international managing director of Unify Corporation, a NASDAQ listed Internet and e-commerce software provider. Previously, he held senior management positions with Informix Software, Unisys and ICL.
