BlueKite solution to deliver high-speed mobile Web browsing on HP Journada PDAs and notebook PCs

San Francisco, December 12, 2001. BlueKite Inc, a leading mobile Internet software provider, today announced that it has signed Hewlett-Packard Company as its latest distribution source. BlueKites software will be offered to users of HP notebook PCs and HP Jornada 540 Pocket PCs and 720 handheld PCs to facilitate high-speed mobile Web browsing.1 The software will either be pre-installed on the device that is purchased or will be distributed on an accompanying CD for customers to download.

Using a combination of wireless caching and compression techniques, BlueKites software can improve mobile Web browsing speeds by two to five times, thereby providing consumers and mobile professionals with a truly useable mobile computing device. BlueKites software is currently the only client/server optimisation solution for Pocket PC devices.

HP customers can receive a free trial of BlueKite's software, which will then be available directly from BlueKite for $34.95 per year, once the 30-day trial period has expired. Customers can download this free trial from
