First UK partners, equIP Technology and Hydra

Reading, December 13, 2001 – Array Networks, a pioneer of the industry’s first fully integrated Web traffic management appliance that enablesorganisations to reduce the complexity of their network infrastructures and lower operation and hardware costs, today launched “Power Partners”, a
support and incentive programme for UK channel partners.

Array Networks is seeking to establish partnerships with select network
integrators, VARs, consultants, and distributors in the UK as part of a
worldwide strategy to drive sales of its all-in-one Array product family to
Global 2000 Enterprises, eBusinesses, and service providers. The channel
program includes a pass-through leasing program.

The first distribution agreement from the launch of the ‘Power Partners’
channel programme has been signed with equIP Technology, a channel solution
provider, specialising in Internet performance optimising technologies. The
first UK systems integrator to join the programme is Hydra plc, a city-based
network and Internet specialist with an established customer base in the
financial, legal and media sectors.

“We have paid careful attention to developing a channel support
infrastructure that is geared towards helping our partners drive sales and
provides the technical support, marketing activities and product information
to push sales lead generation. With equIP and Hydra we have already started
to attract high calibre networking channel partners, which have the
expertise in web traffic management techniques and the customer base we need
to enable our products to penetrate the market fast, ” said Rob Mustarde, VP
Business Development EMEA, at Array Networks.

“The all-in-one capabilities of Array Networks’ integrated platform give the
channel a fantastic opportunity to reduce the complexity and risk of Web
traffic management for enterprises and service providers. It delivers an
integrated suite of capabilities that’s like selling Microsoft Office for
the network and the pay-as-you-grow configurations enable solution providers
to address their customers’ immediate needs and expand their business
without disruption,” added Mustarde.

“Working with Array Networks opens a whole new world of business
opportunities to the channel. Where formerly the solution provider had to
establish several supplier relationships and ensure their sales and support
teams were familiar with multiple vendors’ equipment, Array Networks offers
a single solution for a range of Web traffic management needs,” said Neil
Ledger, Director, equIP Technology.

“Array Network’s is offering a simple answer to what has become for many IT
Managers a headache, facing the cumbersome task of managing and scaling
multiple Web traffic management appliances. Deploying an integrated platform
will be an easy pill to swallow for end-users, especially when faced with
the additional benefits of increased cost savings on hardware, maintenance
and power costs and a higher overall Web site performance. This offers a
strong value proposition for the channel,” said Mark O’Hara, Managing
Director, Hydra.

Array Networks’ all-in-one Array product family combines accelerated Layer
4-7 server load balancing with high-performance caching, built-in SSL
acceleration, content rewrite for transparent interaction with content
delivery networks, Web security, global server load balancing, and seamless
clustering. The Array platform’s service-on-demand configurations and open
API offer the flexibility to add a rich set of services and features,
including essential Web traffic management capabilities as well as dynamic
caching, content replication, advanced security, billing and monitoring
systems, etc. In addition, up to 32 Array appliances can be clustered to
form one logical device, creating the most scaleable traffic management
device in the industry.
