Active Archiving Enhances Database Performance and Availability for Clarify eFrontOffice Application Suite

Princeton Softech, a subsidiary of Computer Horizons Corp. (Nasdaq: CHRZ), and MJM Technologies, Inc., a leading CRM consulting services firm, today announced a partnership to improve database performance and availability for companies that rely on Clarify eFrontOffice™, a leading CRM application suite. The partnership will provide a comprehensive, long-term solution to the problem of skyrocketing database growth associated with Clarify eFrontOffice call centre environments.

Under the partnership, Princeton Softech and MJM Technologies will adapt Princeton Softech’s industry-leading active archiving technology for use with the Amdocs Clarify CRM suite. The partners will actively market complementary products and services to deliver fully integrated Active Archive Solutions™ to Clarify eFrontOffice customers worldwide. MJM Technologies brings extensive experience providing solutions that enhance Clarify CRM installations, while Princeton Softech provides breakthrough data management technology and is the recognised leader in the active archiving market.

“Princeton Softech continues to drive the market with leading-edge Active Archive Solutions,” said Geoff Hogan, Princeton Softech’s vice-president of business development. “The alliance with MJM Technologies provides an ideal partner in addressing the critical need for comprehensive, integrated Active Archive Solutions at Clarify sites. MJM is a pioneer in the Clarify services market and represents the key role that consulting firms can play in the deployment of these fully integrated solutions for enterprise applications.”

“Thousands of Clarify eFrontOffice systems are installed around the world,” said Alex Hammer, vice-president of business development at MJM Technologies. “These mission-critical, customer-facing applications are overloaded with data and are continuing to grow. By partnering with Princeton Softech, we can now deliver a complete archiving solution to solve this problem across the enterprise.”

Unlike traditional archiving capabilities, Active Archive Solutions are schema-independent, easy-to-manage, and support critical, customer-facing applications across the enterprise. Active Archive Solutions safely and precisely remove subsets of seldom-used data (active reference data) from complex relational databases with 100 percent accuracy. Archived data can be stored on the most cost-effective medium and be easily accessed from the enterprise application. Ongoing active archiving keeps databases streamlined and operating at peak performance, providing an effective long-term solution to the problem of explosive database growth.

The use of Clarify eFrontOffice is typical of data-intensive applications where hardware (storage and CPUs) is often added to alleviate the problems associated with overloaded databases. Streamlining these databases with Princeton Softech’s Active Archive Solutions provides significant cost savings and performance improvements.
