Global consulting and system integration business Syntegra today announced that its e-ticketing service has now sold over one million tickets for the UK's leading leisure attraction operator The Tussaud's Group. This milestone reflects the ongoing success of the service following the launch of the first site for the British Airways London Eye in May this year.

Syntegra’s e-ticketing service, known as Rialto, requires no up-front investment by attraction operators, yet gives them the ability to drive up advance - volumes by significantly enhancing their advance booking capability. Rialto is used by visitors to other attractions including Alton Towers, Madame Tussaud’s in London, and Chessington World of Adventure, as well as the British Airways London Eye.

In addition to handling advanced ticketing on the Internet, Rialto can also process sales via Interactive Voice Response (IVR) telephone systems and will also support mobile devices and interactive digital TV as and when the market for this technology develops.

Tussaud’s worked closely with Syntegra over the development of the service. “Rialto has been key in our drive to sell tickets to our customers in a more efficient and cost effective manner. Following a very successful launch we are now in the process of rolling out the service throughout the group,” said Bruce McKendrick, Commercial Director of -The Tussaud’s Group.

The Rialto service is designed as an extension to an attraction operator’s existing Internet presence and reflects their own branding. It allows them to control ticket sales across all channels and own all customer data that may be gathered.

“The Tussaud’s Group has achieved some excellent results using Rialto with a very rapid return on investment,” said Rob Watkins, head of Syntegra’s Travel and Leisure sector. “The Rialto managed service allows operators to increase visitor numbers, focus on yield and improve the buying experience, while lowering their costs. With many attractions facing difficult trading conditions all over the world, Rialto provides the opportunity to increase market reach in a cost effective way.”
