Telemeet introduces FREE conference calls…

Kick-starting the new business year with a bang, Orate’s decision to offer free conference calls to UK companies is a real business boost, and will fuel the already dynamic growth in the usage of conference calls in the UK.

Companies have a choice of service, where they can either reserve a telemeeting slot via the web site at and use the additional free feature which sends an email to each of the meeting participants confirming the phone number to call, the date, time and entry PIN number. The email can also provide an automatic diary reminder via such programmes as MS Outlook®.

Alternatively, participants simply agree a date, time and PIN as little as a few moments in advance, and use non-reservation “shuttle” service – just phone and telemeet whenever you desire – by calling the telemeet reservation-less number of 0870 – 088 – 5708.

MD of Ipswich based telecommunications solutions provider Orate, Richard Atkins, explains: “up till now, conference callers have had to pay a premium – or a penalty! - for the conference “bridge”. With the telemeet service, all you pay for is the cost of the phone call, and the conference bridging is free”.

This means that at peak times, accessing the reservation-based or shuttle services costs only 6.73p per minute (excluding VAT), falling to 3.36p off peak (and 1.70p at weekends). Both services are accessible regardless of which telecommunications company supplies service to the meeting participants.
