London, January 2002– Concur Technologies, Inc (NASDAQ: CNQR), the market leader of Corporate Expense Management solutions, today announced the addition of Sabre (EMEA), the leading provider of technology for the travel industry, to its growing list of blue chip clients.

Sabre’s work in the travel sector means that travel management is a top priority for the company. Sabre has selected the Application Service Provider (ASP) model of Concur Expense ™ to automate its costly and inefficient manual expense reporting process. The solution will enable Sabre to manage its travel and entertainment (T&E) expenses more efficiently and cost effectively, enabling the company to focus on its core business and better compete in the global economy.

Joyce Poulter, accounts payable manager at Sabre EMEA, commented: “We selected Concur Expense due to the lower costs involved with automating expense reports and the speed of implementation. We intend to utilise the information we gather through automated expense reporting to negotiate better rates with our preferred vendors. Additionally, with the efficiencies gained through Concur Expense we anticipate slashing the time and cost it takes to process our employees’ T&E expense reports.”

Sabre’s decision to deploy an ASP model reflects the global nature of its business, rolling the solution out to 550 users throughout Europe. It is also a solution that can quickly be deployed without being a drain on the resources of its IT department. The winning combination of quick deployment and the provision of extensive management information delivers speedy return on investment.

Simon Nelson, vice president and general manager of Concur EMEA commented: “EMEA companies are very forward thinking when planning their IT strategies. They are looking for solutions that bring high return at low cost and low risk. The growing popularity of Concur Expense is a reflection of the need for businesses to automate their T&E expenses. Sabre’s decision to run on our ASP model is an example of this – it is adopting a solution which matches the company’s needs, makes its expense management less costly and frees up the time and energy of its staff to concentrate on core business initiatives.”
