Deployment by UK’s Leading Broadband Service Provider Marks BroadJump's Entrance into the European Broadband Market
January 15, 2002 – BroadJump, Inc., provider of software solutions for the efficient and rapid deployment of broadband services, today announced that NTL, the UK’s leading broadband service company, is deploying a suite of BroadJump solutions across its network.
Through the use of BroadJump’s software, NTL will be able to provide its customers at home with an enhanced broadband experience from pre-qualification and installation through ongoing support. In addition, this announcement represents BroadJump’s first UK customer win and increasing penetration into the European broadband market.
NTL will use BroadJump’s solutions to provide enhanced support throughout the broadband subscriber lifecycle. Based on a successful field trial in Manchester and Glasgow, NTL will begin immediate deployment of BroadJump's Virtual Truck® Qualifier, Virtual Truck Installer, and CorrectConnect™ for both cable modem and set-top box customers.

To enhance the qualification and installation process, NTL is using BroadJump’s Virtual Truck Qualifier and Virtual Truck Installer solutions. Whether used as a direct mail CD-ROM or Web-based download, Virtual Truck Qualifier enables potential subscribers to determine if their system can support a broadband connection. Once qualified, subscribers can use BroadJump's Virtual Truck Installer to install and pre-configure their system for broadband connectivity. NTL customers simply insert the Virtual Truck Installer CD-ROM into their computer and the software will automatically step them through a series of instructions to establish connectivity. Once connectivity is established, Virtual Truck Installer leaves behind CorrectConnect on the subscriber's desktop ensuring the connection is supported on an ongoing basis.
