Solution to Automate Sales Order Management Processes for Starbucks

BRACKNELL, UK (January 23, 2002) - Blue Martini Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLUE) today announced that Starbucks Coffee Company, the leading retailer, roaster and brand of specialty coffee in the world, has selected the Blue Martini order management system to streamline its business-to-business sales and distribution channels. Blue Martini Software's catalogue and account management will provide Starbucks with the ability to centrally manage and deliver contract-based products and pricing in multiple languages for its global distribution retailers and partners.

Orders from the sales channels will come into the Blue Martini order management system from multiple touch points including web, electronic data interchange (EDI) and message-based integration; the orders will then be routed to appropriate back-end systems. The Blue Martini order management system will provide a single, streamlined, web-based user interface for placing orders and receiving shipments.
