Europe is becoming a key battleground for the companies locked in a struggle for the emergent application protection market.
New York and London headquartered KaVaDo, whose patented technology has leapfrogged that of earlier entrants to the specialist IT security sector, has underscored its recent move into Europe by negotiating partnerships with five key resellers in the last three weeks.
The agreements, which come at the end of two months of behind the scenes negotiation, signal KaVaDo’s intent to seize market leadership.
Said KaVaDo Europe head Terry Schoen: “Companies opening up their systems to Web browsers are realising that insiders and people who get past perimeter security can destroy the business by attacking applications with tools and know-how pulled off the Web. We fix that problem for good. We weren’t the first in this new sector, but we’re delivering a second-generation solution that scales, handles all current and future threats, and doesn’t slow throughput.”
“As our channel recruitment record shows, this message is resonating strongly with European resellers focusing on application security. Organisations pushing Web applications out to their customers and partners have the same choice – go with first generation solutions, or go with KaVaDo and its future-proof technology.”
KaVaDo’s European partners include Vanguard Technologies in the UK, SIA in Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands, Unibridge in Scandinavia, CryptoNet in Italy and CPE for Eastern Europe. Negotiations with 10 further partners are in their final stages.
Said Enrique Palomares, CEO of SIA: “Web application protection is the next big growth area in IT security. We’re backing KaVaDo because, quite simply, it offers our customer more. We see KaVaDo’s technology as being the only one able to form the future-proof centrepiece of an holistic approach to Web application lifecycle management.”
