Elevon Name Introduced to More Accurately Depict the Current Collaborative Commerce Markets the Company Serves

6 February 2002 - Walker Interactive Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: WALK) has announced it is now doing business as Elevon, Inc. During the past three years, Walker has undergone a significant transformation with regard to the type of products and services it provides to its customers. All aspects of the Company's business and market have drastically changed with the growth of the Internet and the growing market demand for more collaborative business solutions. In order to meet the demands of the changing market, Walker made the decision three years ago to provide collaborative business solutions to the Global 2000 using a more open environment.

Today the Company is selling products and services that are fundamentally different from what the organisation has sold in the past. While the name Walker is a strong brand in the market, after extensive research the Company found that although the Walker name has a lot of market visibility behind it, the Walker brand associates the Company mainly with mainframe financial software. This brand association is not an accurate reflection of the business the Company is in today. Although the Company attracted a blue chip customer base under the Walker brand, most of its business today is in the area of collaborative commerce. Additionally the Company recently acquired the QSP Intellectual property, allowing the Company to significantly increase the size of its market by offering more collaborative commerce solutions on a greater range of hardware platforms.

After taking into consideration the change in products and services the company is delivering to the market, as well as the recent acquisition of QSP Intellectual property, the organisation decided that in order to change its perception as a provider of mainframe financial software it was necessary to change the brand to Elevon. In 2002, Elevon will continue to respond to the demands of the market by delivering the most innovative solutions for collaborative commerce and knowledge management through leading edge technologies.

"Over the last three years we have provided our customers with superior business solutions to help improve their business performance. The new name "Elevon" is a more accurate reflection of our strategy for providing the most advanced business solutions that truly exploit collaboration, elevating collaboration beyond the four walls of the enterprise," said Frank Richardson, chief executive officer of Elevon. "We are proud of the progress we made in the past and we are now looking forward to elevating the success of the Company to the next level."
