7 February 2002 (A0201) ~ Actinic, the developer of ecommerce tools for
SMEs, is announcing the introduction of Actinic Link for QuickBooks 2001.
This add-on for Actinic Business (v5 only) and Developer means a business
can integrate its ecommerce and accounting applications into a single
system, saving both time and re-entry errors. It is an addition to the
existing range of Link products that already allow integration with Sage
Line 50 and Exchequer Enterprise accounts packages. Available now via
authorised partners, Actinic Link for QuickBooks retails at £149 + VAT, or
is available free with an upgrade from Catalog to Business (RRP £675 +
VAT). Visitwww.actinic.co.uk/products/link.htm#QB

"Developing Actinic Link was a logical step for us. As merchants gain
confidence in trading online they are starting to demand integration
between their ecommerce and accounting systems. Now with Actinic Link
products for both Sage and Quickbooks we have a good percentage of the SME
market covered. Based on our channel sources we're expecting the arrival of
the QuickBooks module to be very popular indeed, " says Nick Kington,
marketing director at Actinic.

This Actinic Link module enables direct export of orders from Actinic
Business and Developer into Intuit's QuickBooks 2001. It can create new
invoices, sales orders and batch invoice entries automatically within
QuickBooks as well as pass over product and customer data. Key features and
benefits include:

· Saves time by eliminating the need to manually re-key orders into QuickBooks

· Reads export files from Actinic

· Translates tax and shipping data into a format that QuickBooks will accept

· Automatically starts when you export from Actinic

· Converts customer details into the QuickBooks standard layout

· Produces a file for importing straight into QuickBooks

Note: Actinic Link for QuickBooks 2001 only works from Actinic, unlike
other Link products which offer two-way data exchange. Thiswill be
resolvedwhen Intuit launches QuickBooks 2002 in the UK.
