BroadJump® ChannelDirect Transforms High-Speed Access Into A Channel For Marketing Goods and Services

February 12, 2002 – BroadJump, Inc., provider of software solutions for the efficient and rapid deployment of broadband services, today announced a new software solution, BroadJump® ChannelDirect, enabling broadband service providers to market and fulfill goods and services over the high-speed connection to subscribers. By leveraging broadband processes such as qualification and installation, ChannelDirect gives service providers a highly effective marketing tool to speed profitability from revenue generating service offerings.

The sizable investments service providers have made in network infrastructure and customer acquisition makes it imperative for them to capture additional revenue beyond basic access and recognize a return on that investment. ChannelDirect is integrated with BroadJump’s industry-leading Virtual Truck® family of products, which are used to fulfill high-speed access over 15,000 times a day for the industry’s leading broadband service providers.

“More than ever, broadband service providers have a sharp focus on driving profitability," said Larry Goldman, an analyst with telecom market research firm RHK. "This means effectively marketing and selling revenue-generating goods and services to the broadband subscriber is a top priority. Innovative solutions like BroadJump’s ChannelDirect give providers the ability to transition from merely increasing subscriber numbers to increasing revenue resulting in higher-growth margins for the industry in general.”

These offerings can include existing services such as caller ID and digital cable; digital goods and services such as utility applications; and physical goods and services such as home networking. In addition, by leveraging BroadJump’s ControlWorks™ server in the service provider’s network, ChannelDirect enables service providers to target goods and services offerings to subscribers that would desire that specific offering the most, substantially increasing take rates and revenue potential.

Also key to ChannelDirect is the BroadJump Partner Network. BroadJump is working with the best-of-breed content and application partners to pre-integrate the ability for service providers to offer third party vendor applications to subscribers. By delivering a turn-key solution for service providers, BroadJump is enabling decreased time-to-market, improved revenue-generation opportunities and an enhanced consumer experience. BroadJump’s announced content and application partners include McAfee.com, NCSoft, SkyDesk and Incanta.

“Through our Virtual Truck family of products, BroadJump has already helped the leading broadband service providers cut costs and create efficiencies across the high-speed fulfillment process,” said Kenny Van Zant, chief operating officer for BroadJump. “Now, with ChannelDirect, BroadJump can enable service providers to meet today’s most pressing challenge - profitability.”
