New Architecture Facilitates Integration of Third-Party Applications for
Shared, Dedicated and Reseller Domains

LONDON, February 13, 2002 – Ensim® Corporation, the leading provider of hosting automation solutions, announced today the availability of WEBppliance 3.0 for Red Hat Linux 7.1, the latest version of the industry’s most robust and flexible software appliance for web hosting.

WEBppliance 3.0 includes a new modular architecture that streamlines the integration and management of third-party applications. With WEBppliance 3.0, hosting service providers can now configure their shared, dedicated and reseller domains to include new features such as dynamic web pages, web site creation tools, e-commerce and database support.

“The fastest growing and most successful hosting service providers are constantly looking for ways to differentiate their service plans and raise the level of support they deliver to their end customers,” said Rosen Sharma, president and CEO of Ensim. “WEBppliance 3.0 and its growing community of application partners gives hosting service providers the capability to deliver the most fully featured service plans in the industry.”

“Our rapid growth depends on sustained differentiation from our competitors,” said Robert Marsh, head surfer at Rackshack (www.rackshack.net). “After an exhaustive analysis of web hosting appliances, it became readily apparent that Ensim WEBppliance 3.0 and its complementary applications offered the best platform to keep us ahead of our competition.”

WEBppliance 3.0 is the first website administration environment to give service providers the ability to monitor, track and manage bandwidth usage (web, email, ftp, telnet) for both IP and name-based domains. For example, service providers can now set bandwidth quotas for individual domains and monitor overages.

“We can use the WEBppliance 3.0 bandwidth management and reporting tools to identify those users that have exceeded their service level allotments,” said Adam L. Simpson, president, Netsonic ( http://www.netsonic.net). “The ability to effectively and efficiently monitor bandwidth usage gives us a great upsell opportunity that will have a positive impact on our bottom line and on the long term strategies of our business.”

WEBppliance 3.0 also features the industry’s most extensive, context sensitive on-line help facilities, greatly reducing the volume of support calls for hosting service providers.

“We are moving our virtual domains to Ensim’s WEBppliance 3.0 platform because the new intensive self-help facilities allow our support staff to focus on delivering highly personalised service for more complex problem resolution,” said George DeVaek, president and CEO of OLM (www.olm.net).

WEBppliance 3.0 includes several other new features to help hosting service providers improve their hosting operations, including:

· Powerful Name-Based Domains: WEBppliance-powered name-based domains are feature-for-feature comparable to IP-based domains, allowing hosting service providers to offer virtual domains at lower cost

· Delegated Backup and Restore Tools: Self-service tools allow end customers to backup and restore their sites on their own

· Integrated Management: Integration with the ServerXchange 3.0 management platform allows for automated monitoring and management to reduce operating costs and increase data centre productivity

Supported Platforms

WEBppliance 3.0 is available today for server platforms that support Red Hat Linux 7.1. This includes private servers powered by Ensim ServerXchange™ 3.0 running Red Hat Linux 7.1.
