IN Prepay from Compaq and partner ICL Invia enables TAKE ONE customers to
re-charge phone cards over the air, anytime, anywhere

ZURICH, Feb. 11, 2002 - Compaq Computer in Europe, the Middle East and
Africa (EMEA) announced today that ONE (Connect Austria GmbH), one of
Austria's leading wireless providers, is leveraging powerful technology
jointly developed by Compaq and partner ICL Invia to deliver a new level of
convenience for its TAKE ONE wireless prepaid subscribers. As an example,
ONE is the first wireless operator in Austria to offer customers the ability
to re-charge their prepaid wireless phone cards, anytime and anywhere. With
a bank account and a debit card, any TAKE ONE customer can use "Quickload"
to buy prepaid airtime "over the air" within seconds.
This convenient feature, and others such as voice mail, short message
service (SMS), data services, and personalised tariff plans, combined with
fast connection speeds, enhanced reliability and real-time billing, give
TAKE ONE customers in Austria unmatched prepaid services.
ONE's TAKE ONE is based on a powerful, flexible prepaid wireless solution
called Compaq IN Prepay. Developed jointly by Compaq and ICL Invia, IN
Prepay is an off-switch IN (Intelligent Network) solution that is deployed
in operator networks around the world serving approximately 10 million
subscribers. It is a complete, turnkey solution for service providers who
want to operate their own prepaid service. It includes modules for business
management, voucher management, customer care, and call detail and service
detail record storage.

into ONE's network, and is handling ongoing 7x24 maintenance, along with
Compaq Global Services and ICL Invia. IN Prepay is based on Compaq
platforms, including the NonStopTM HimalayaTM and AlphaServerTM Tru64TM UNIX

IN Prepay provides flexibility for operators to tailor services for
The solution, which runs on a single platform, is extremely flexible and can
scale up to support more than eight million subscribers with real-time
billing performance and network response times of 200 milliseconds or less.
In addition, for future enhancement, the solution provides for data billing,
external media event billing, and next generation open interfaces for
advanced 2.5G and 3G billing requirements, as well as CAMEL II and CAMEL III
signaling and billing support.
Some of the enhanced billing features provided with IN Prepay include:
Real-time Short Message Service Mobile Originated (SMS MO) billing by
subscriber and differential SMS billing by destination address, ability for
subscribers to "pick" their own off-peak rate plan after successful
recharge, and a highly configurable marketing service creation environment
for real-time voice billing. In addition, the solution provides many APIs
and open interfaces for integration with next generation media billing
requirements and Internet access to accounts and transaction history.
