The Lovers’ Guide introduces pay-per-view content online

The Lovers’ Guide is using culturejam.tv’s web streaming and phone-based micro payment solution to make its best-selling ‘Secrets of Sensational Sex’ video available for online viewing at http://www.loversguide.com
The move is part of The Lovers’ Guide complementary channels strategy and delivers the trusted and acceptable face of sex education to a new market via a unique, secure Pay-Per-View (PPV) billing method developed by culturejam.tv.
The “Secrets of Sensational Sex” video is available in 8 separate streamed sections or ‘video clips’. Users can choose to sample just a short clip or view the entire video. Four credits or ‘tickets-to-view’ can be bought for £1.00 or 15 tickets for £3.00 using culturejam.tv’s PPV solution.
The project represents the world’s first implementation of a unique micro payment system, IVR Video Ticketing, developed by culturejam.tv. Unlike traditional credit card or drop dialing payment methods, it offers a secure, discreet and easy-to-use billing mechanism via a standard telephone line. Users dial a premium rate number and receive a personal access code to stream video content direct via their PCs.
