CUPERTINO, California - February 14, 2002 - Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHRD), a leader in Dynamically Driven Customer Relationship Management (CRM), today announced the immediate availability of the Chordiant 5 Enterprise Platform for deployment with IBM WebSphere. Application Server Version 4.0. The combination of Chordiant 5 and IBM WebSphere will allow global business to consumer (B2C) companies to make their enterprise marketing, selling and servicing CRM applications more rapidly deployable, scalable and dynamic.

The Chordiant 5 Enterprise Platform is one of the industry's first integrated, scalable, dynamically driven, end-to-end J2EE and XML-based CRM solutions. The move to J2EE brings market-changing differentiation to Chordiant's enterprise customers, giving them license for innovation and creativity.
Chordiant's customers will now move ahead armed with dynamic profiles of their individual customers, adaptive applications that provide real-time, process-centric processing, and multidimensional customer interactions. These new Chordiant 5-based capabilities will allow Chordiant customers to more effectively differentiate their businesses. Customers will now deliver dynamic end-to-end customer service that can lead to greater retention, up sell and ROI in a changing business economy. This process-oriented capability is available in Chordiant 5.
