The company, with revenues of billion in North America in 2001, has grown through acquisition and organic growth, and has around 100 active major IT projects at any time. Corporate Express has signed the deal with PMG, UK pioneers in multi project management software, to help streamline IT development. The business-to-business office products supplier estimates it can make its 400-strong development team 10 per cent more efficient with PMG's Hydra3 programme management software, providing a return on investment within 10 months. The deal comes at the end of a two-month pilot of PMG's Hydra3, involving between 10-15 staff. The pilot allowed Corporate Express managers to prioritise personnel resources, monitor development progress and accurately forecast schedules. Rollout to all development staff is expected in March.
