STMicroelectronics recognises WBC as 'Fastest Growing Distributor' for the second time in a row, citing outstanding success in 2001
STMicroelectronics, one of the world's largest semiconductor companies, has awarded WBC - The Contributor., an Avnet company, with its 'Distribution Award 2001' for highest sales growth and outstanding performance in Europe during 2001.
Umberto Bisazza, ST's Vice President, Director of Sales & Marketing Distribution in Europe, who presented the award during a celebration reception at WBC's corporate headquarters, said: "It is a great pleasure for me to honor WBC with this award for outstanding performance in 2001. WBC achieved not only the highest sales growth in our European network, but also conducted their business for the whole region in the most effective way. Moreover, this award reflects the successful and reliable relationship our companies have built in the past."
