4th Place for Westica at Prestigious Award Ceremony

Leading microwave radio supplier, Westica Ltd, has been recognised as the 4th fastest growing technology company in Scotland in this year’s Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 Scotland Awards. An impressive revenue growth rate of 1150% over a three-year period secured Westica’s place as the only telecommunications company in the top 17; an achievement in itself following the difficult market conditions in recent times. First time entrant in the Fast 50 list, Westica Ltd is a major strategic supplier of digital microwave radio systems to global wireless telecommunications markets.

The Fast 50 programme, now in its fourth year, tracks the growth rates of technology companies operating in the telecommunications, hardware, software and biotechnology markets across seven regions in the UK and Ireland. The Fast 50 programme was started in San Jose, the centre of Silicon Valley, California in 1995 and has expanded to over 20 major cities world-wide, having quickly became the growth benchmark of success in the USA.

Delighted with the award, CEO of Westica, Chris Burnett explains, “To be acknowledged as one of Scotland’s fastest growing technology companies with such a prestigious award is an honour indeed. This award demonstrates our continued commitment to providing our existing and potential customers with world-class products backed with outstanding service. The turbulent market conditions over recent times have only encouraged us here at Westica to strive to succeed when others are failing; this award is simply evidence of our determination.”
