· Shortage of software testing training

· Exclusive UK rights granted to Aris Education

· Mentergy/Aris Education CEO speaks at CMS 2002 Conference - 19th March

13th March 2001, Oxford, UK – Testing specialist TesCom has granted exclusive training rights in the UK to Aris Education, a leading UK Microsoft CTEC. To meet rising demand for fully debugged ‘clean code’ especially from government departments and pharmaceutical companies, Aris Education & TesCom have launched 10 new courses in this fast-growing career specialisation. Basic, intermediate and advanced level courses cover performance, compatibility, security, usability and monitoring of testing solutions and range from 1 to 5 days in length. (See appendix)

Aris Education is part of the Mentergy Group and to mark the launch of the partnership, Mentergy’s co-Chief Executive Officer, Ziv Mandl, speaks on Tuesday 19th March at CMS 2002, the UK Configuration Management Solutions Conference & Exhibition in London. (details at end).

Every IT project goes through a testing phase before implementation and TesCom uses a methodical approach to ensure software is fully debugged before being released. This methodology forms the basis of the specialist training provided by this new partnership.

‘Ensuring that applications are fully tested is very complex and resource-intensive, but with increasing time and market pressures it is becoming vital that business gets it right first time, every time. Many organisations are becoming aware that using testing specialists throughout the development process reduces the risk of failure, and training their staff or using
independent resources can provide significant returns,’ said Lee Farman, CTO at TesCom. ‘There is currently a shortage of training courses that focus specifically on the complexities of effective software testing which is why we partnered with Aris Education for this venture.’

Aris Education’s Managing Director, Eyal Schneid, says ‘We are sure this will be the beginning of a very fruitful relationship with TesCom in the UK, building on other partnerships worldwide. Even the larger vendors are taking Security issues more seriously these days so high-quality software testing is becoming essential which is a good thing for everyone in the industry. Imagine the man-hours we could all save if all software was debugged before use! I am in favour both personally and professionally.’
Mr Schneid continues ‘In the long term we see the partnership providing added value for TesCom clients. Aris Education will complement TesCom’s software testing work by providing training at the project rollout stage.’ Ziv Mandl’s session at CMS is entitled ‘Change Management – The Key to Delivering Real Client Requirements’. It focuses on changing the perception of change management in the software development processes.
