CTIA, Orlando Florida, USA - 19 March 2002, Macalla Software, Europe's
leading provider of proven mobile e-Commerce platforms and applications, and
Logica, the global solutions company and leading supplier of mobile
messaging and mobile payments, today demonstrated the world's first live
example of financial applications being delivered across multimedia
messaging (MMS) at CTIA Wireless 2002 in Orlando Florida. The demonstration
showed live stock quotes using supporting performance graphs and news
services as well as portfolio information. Both companies believe that with
MMS the demand for and adoption of financial information and transaction
based services will rapidly increase.

Building on the massive uptake of SMS (Short Messaging), EMS (Enhanced
Messaging) and MMS will bring GPRS users applications such as e-mail, video
and audio download, animated graphics and electronic card and picture
exchange to mobile device users.

This demonstration was performed using Logica's Multimedia Messaging Service
Centre (MMSC) and Macalla Software's Alert Management System, a highly
scalable solution for delivering time-critical and personalised information
to a large, diverse and mobile subscriber base across multiple messaging
capabilities such as MMS, EMS or SMS.

This follows on from Logica's successful demonstration of MMS on eight
manufacturer's devices over the Orange France GPRS Network, at the 3GSM
World Congress in Cannes.

"With Macalla Software, we have been able to deliver the world's first live
demonstration of financial applications delivered over multimedia
messaging," said Gerry McKenna, CEO of Logica Mobile Networks. "The greatly
enhanced user experience demonstrated today shows why MMS is expected to be
one of the biggest growth areas in mobility over the next few years."

"Efficient and effective transfer and use of financial information in
graphical form will enable operators offer their subscribers with a superior
service." Said Niall O'Cleirigh, CEO Macalla Software. "We believe the
introduction of MMS supporting rich financial content will be an attractive
service for mobile operators to offer to their customers and will also
assist in the path to enabling the mobile device as a secure payment
